Thank you God

Last night Steve and I were at a meeting in Georgetown...surrounded by some new faces, and some friendly faces that we have had the privilege to meet over the last month (on the starts of this new adventure that God has for us). It was there in the midst of listening to the conversation, that I became so overwhelmed and flooded with memories (and they weren't memories that I like). I was really fighting hard to not cry, not to want to run out of the room, and to not want to have a big hissy fit...shocking I know...but I do have them ~ just ask Steve :-).

Anyway...because I couldn't do all of the above, I just started to pray. And God in his faithfulness calmed this anxious girls heart down, washed over me with his love, and then showed me those "special little signs" that are only from him. On the drive home, he continued to show me those things that are meant only for me. And then I was at PEACE again.

Thank you God for loving me so much, that even in a meeting...you see me, and want to heal me!

Brandon's Birthday

Today is Brandon's Birthday. It is his 24th earthly Birthday, but his 5th Heavenly one. I am not quite sure why....but numbers along with the time really get me. I think back on the 5 years he has been gone, 5 birthdays have passed. It makes me think of him starting kindergarten. How at the time, those 5 years didn't seem so confusing with time flying by or screeching to an un-breathable halt. I wonder why that is. That everything is filtered through the "before" and "after".

I do know that Brandon would not want me to be in this small pit that I find myself in today. When he was here, he was all about living and having as much fun as his body would allow him. So if that is the way he was here....I know that he truly is in a place that is "exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could ask or think".

I PRAISE God that he chose me to be Brandon's momma. The one to be there to see his first breath and his last. The one who got to laugh with him, teach him, help him, raise him, and insure his eternity. Of course there were many others who got that privilege as well. And for that I am thankful too.

Happy Birthday Brandon ~ You and your brothers have made me the mom that God formed me to be!

Happy Momma

Picked up Jordan yesterday morning from the airport...he is now back on the East Coast...for a while anyway. I look for him to head back out to Seattle when he is finished at U of D. Can't blame him....I LOVE that city AND....the Bible says that God has a hope a future for him, and that he knows his path! (SMILE). Seth is glad to have his brother home again :-)

We also surprised Jordan with 2 of his special friends...Jimmy & Kristin...they got up at EARLY O'CLOCK to head to philly with us...now that is being good friends!
